Musubi

We planned to be out-and-about in San Francisco, so Lauren made savory musubi (rice balls with toasted seaweed and sesame seeds).  These rice balls are also called "onigiri"and make a tasty snack for bento or lunchboxes.  These triangle-shaped musubi paired well with barbecued chicken for the picnic stop at Baker Beach.  The next day, she made kimchee musubi!

Heart Bokeh Aperture Filter

I made a bokeh filter with paper and cut a heart-shape. Then, I put the filter over my lens and shot these pictures in the yard. The hearts appeared everywhere there was a bright reflection of light. Perhaps, love (like these hearts) is a reflection of the light in us, too.

Tree top hearts

Hearts by the dozens in these trees

Warmer color from these trees

The wind blew and the hearts started to flutter

This is a view through the trees making blue heart cutouts of the sky

I "heart" this guy washing the dinner dishes for me tonight.

I hope hearts abound all around you today.
